I had an idea for this Thursday's theme - darkness - and the weather cooperated. Even though it wasn't quite dark, it was pretty close and the moon was almost full. I have tried for years to get a shot like this and thanks to what I've learned in the last couple of months I finally did it. Tonight I shot RAW. Even though I initially overexposed the shot a bit, leaving little detail in the moon, I was able to adjust it Lightroom and bring the details back. I'm know there's still room for improvement but I'm happy with the best moon shot I've ever gotten. So to fit with today's theme, a shot of the almost full moon just before total darkness fell.
